- If you unchecked the option in Teacher Settings to not allow a student to add to the spelling dictionary, it should still show up in the live spelling pop-up menu. This was a 3rd party problem that they just sent a fix for today.

- When you choose to install the Text-to-speech components, the setup window for that would come up behind the Speak Write 101 setup window, and be invisible. Fixed.
11/11/03
- Due to some encryption issues, sometimes the whole web page setting wouldn't be saved properly in the teacher settings. Fixed.
- Added the ability to change the teacher password from the teacher settings form.
- The "Modified" switch was being set to "true" even through you had not changed the document. This caused the "this document has changed, do you want to save" to always pop up any time you did a file / close, open, or new. fixed.
- When you go to View / List Bookmarks, or View / List Text Notes, and press the read button, it will set the document to read only, and will not set it back. Fixed.
11/7/03
- There was a problem when you were Reading the document and there were bookmarks (or other objects) that were hidden. The blocking affect would get off a character every time it passed over an object. Fixed.
11/4/03
- If you select a word, then press the dictionary button, it will shift one word to the right. Fixed.
11/3/03
- The Help option was not working. This was probably due to a path problem. Fixed.
- There were some problems with the highlighting of text when doing text-to-speech that was fixed.
- There was a problem if you had a document loaded before, and you deleted the file, or moved it, then ran speak write, it would give you an error message, and the screen would not appear correctly. Fixed.
- There were some problems with loading Microsoft Word documents that were fixed. Saving a Word document from Speak Write 101 converts it to RTF without changing the file extension, which isn't recommended. So, I put some prompts in place to handle this situation.
- I changed the Line spacing from a spin box which allowed settings like 100, 200, 300, etc. to sometime more comprehensive like 1 (single line spacing), 1.5 (a line and a half), 2 (double-spacing), and 3 (triple spacing).
- I added a Read button in the highlighted text list.
- Lourdes reported problems inserting a bookmark. The most likely cause was that the document was in Read only mode. I put a prompt in place when the document is in Read Only mode, and you try to insert a bookmark, text note, or voice note that will allow you to easily change back to Write mode.
- Updated the help file some. The help file is far from complete, but I will try to add a little at a time to it until it is completed.
10/6/03
- There was a problem when you have "read sentences" turned in the Text-to-speech (TTS) setup turned on where it would block the text as it read it, and if you typed, it would delete the text. Although I could not duplicate that on any of my machines, I did observe it on Virginia's laptop. I put some code in place that should resolve the issue.
- The List Windows seem to have the form size problems, and include scroll bars. Fixed
- Add a read button on the text note box.
- Enabled the spelling tab when in the web browser, and made sure that it will look up the word in the dictionary or thesaurus
- There were two whites in the background color. Fixed.
- Lourdes reported a problem with the numbered list not being numbered correctly when you indent. This seems to be the way the numbered list works. However, if you change to an outline format (Format / Outline), it should react properly then.
- Put the Edit menu back in place when in the web browser mode so that text can be copied to the clipboard using menu commands as well as keyboard commands and the right-click pop-up menu.
